For children and teens

You deserve to feel safe.

You don't have to figure everything out alone. Pick whichever feels closest to what you need. You can read anything here without telling anyone your name.

In immediate danger, call 911 when it is safe to do so. Choosing any button on this site does not dispatch help or file a report.

  • You are not responsible for fixing an adult's harmful behavior.
  • You can ask for support even if you are not sure what to call the situation.
  • If one adult does not help, another trusted adult or professional may be able to.
  • You do not need to collect evidence or confront anyone before asking for support.

A sentence to start with

You don't have to use these exact words. You can read this, write it down, or point to it.

“Something at home is making me feel unsafe. Can you help me talk to someone?”

You can also hand someone a note, show them this page, or text a help line. There is no wrong way to start.
